Do any of you remember when Blockbuster was the only way to rent a movie? How about if the movie you wanted to watch was not in and you couldn’t watch it immediately? This was really a thing and I know it is hard to imagine. The ability to stream movies right from the palm of your hand (literally) is the new normal. The best part is that you can binge an entire season or start and stop each episode as you please. This is just an incredible convenience and I still can’t believe it sometimes. My kids are bigger now, but when they were younger they loved “Llama Llama Red Pajama” at story time. It is totally catchy, right? On January 26thLlama Llama it launched on Netflix.
Neil Patrick Harris reads Christmas stories and from the script of A Series of Unfortunate Events (Netflix series) at the New York Public Library
Last year I was invited to a special screening with Neil Patrick for the first season of A Series of Unfortunate Events. This March 30th the second season will debut on Netflix. This is one of our favorites to watch as a family. When we are unplugged each and every Shabbat, we read the series and discuss the difference and similarities. It is so nice that these shows integrate both technology with actual books. As much as we love the convenience and reach of technology, it is important to unplug and read from an actual book.
Some of the shows we can’t wait to binge include:
The Polka King
Grey’s Anatomy – All 13 Seasons
My Next Guest
